Town Information

Byala Cherkva is rich in history, one of the most famous cultural and revolutionary villages during the National Revival period.The Thraks, Romans, and Slavs left heritage from all periods of the Bulgarian history. Byala Cherkvawas the birthplace of great Bulgarians. It is a wonderful place where the Balkan meets the plain, and the natural and historical sights attract many tourists.

The House-Museum "Raiko Daskalov" is a beautiful two-story building in the centre of Byala Cherkva. The exhibition is in four halls on the second floor. It shows original personal belongings, photographs and documents that are connected with the life and work of Dr. Raiko Daskalov- an eminent deputy of the Bulgarian Agrarian People's Union.

The house of Raiko Daskalov was built in the town centre in 1922. It was proclaimed a historical monument in 1970. In 1983 the exhibition about the life and work of Raiko Daskalov was arranged. The museum was opened in October 1984.
