Exhibition Area 700 m²

The massive space compositions including 56 monuments are found in Montana. The scripts in the marble are the only written evidence, known so far, of this municipal Roman town, as a new cultural event in our lands. They contain exceptionally important cultural and historical matter about Montana during 2nd-3rd century A. D., for instance, information about the cherished in the ancient sanctuary cults of Diana-“The goddess, protector of Montana,” and of Apolneus, Esculapus, Higia, Latona, Silvanus, and other deities. There are also information about ordinary visitors, military forces, as well as rhetoric that honours the ruling emperor, governors of province Dolna Mizia and other military and civil authorities.

The epigraphic monuments undoubtedly have culturally, historically, and scientifically important value. These ancient traces are a symbol of our roots to the European civilization in the new millennium of the mankind.
