Byala Cherkva is rich in history, one of the most famous cultural and revolutionary villages during the National Revival period.The Thraks, Romans, and Slavs left heritage from all periods of the Bulgarian history. Byala Cherkvawas the birthplace of great Bulgarians. It is a wonderful place where the Balkan meets the plain, and the natural and historical sights attract many tourists. |

The Historical Museum- Byala Cherkva was opened in 1976, and it is arranged in its own building in the center of the town. The exhibition shows the centuries of long history of Byala cherkva. A few of exhibits are authentic archaelogical and ethnographical materials, books, documents and numerous photographs depict the lifestyle, the architecture, and the economic and cultural development of the settlement. The dokuments about the life and work of Bacho Kiro Petrov are kept here. The historical exhibition is situated on the first floor, and on the second floor is the art gallery where paintings and sculptures are exposed. |

In 1928 the first museum collection was created in the cultural club in Byala cherkva. The original patrons of the club collected ancient coins, interesting objects, documents, and photos for dozens of years. The first exhibition was arranged in the building of the cultural club in 1966. It was moved into the present building, and the Historical museum in Byala cherkva was created in May 1976.
