Tryavna is an old town with rich cultural traditions and history. During the Revival period, the town became home to the biggest and the most famous art school in Bulgaria. The specialities of the school are icon-painting, woodcarving, and architecture. Visitors can experience a lot of Western-style archtecutual monuments in town- the old town , clock tower, churches, and more. |

The collection of Asian and African Art Museum was donated by Zlatko Paunov. Religious works of art are collected from Tibet, Nepal, China, India and some African countries; The exhibition includes works of Buddhist art, objects with sacral meaning, statuettes, tankas, vessels for ritual purpose , amulets, masks, wood carved friezes, prints, and etc. |

The Specialized Museum- Tryavna |
With donation of Zlatko Paunov, the collection of Asian and African arts was first e stablished in 1993 ?s a part of the Shkoloto (The School) Museum . The current Museum of Asian and African Art was opened in 2004 in a reconstructed old building from the middle of the 20 C.
